Harnessing Clean Energy: Solarvest Empowers Halcyon Agri’s Eco-Drive in Perak
In a resounding commitment to environmental stewardship, Solarvest Holdings Berhad has inked a transformative pact with Hevea KB Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Halcyon Agri Corporation Limited, to drive a sustainable revolution.
This landmark agreement entails the installation of a cutting-edge 2.5-megawatt-peak (MWp) rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Hevea KB’s factory in Chemor, Perak, marking a significant stride towards clean energy solutions in Malaysia.
Solarvest, appointed as the engineering, procurement, construction, and commission (EPCC) provider for this solar PV installation, envisages the generation of 2.5 MWp of clean energy. This groundbreaking initiative aims to substantially alleviate Hevea KB’s reliance on conventional power sources, concurrently charting a substantial reduction in its carbon footprint.
This collaboration signifies the second synergistic venture between Halcyon Agri and Solarvest, following their successful partnership with Euroma Rubber Industries Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Kedah. The unveiling of the Chemor, Perak rooftop solar PV system stands as a testament to Halcyon Agri’s commitment to embracing renewable energy on an expansive scale.
Mr. Li Xuetao, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Halcyon Agri, underscored the pivotal role of such initiatives in propelling the natural rubber industry towards sustainable practices. Aligning with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, Mr. Li emphasized the solar PV system’s profound significance in aiding Malaysia’s ambitious target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

He stressed Solarvest’s unwavering commitment to pioneering clean energy solutions, fostering a greener future.
