BEIJING (Reuters) – Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies has officially begun taking pre-orders for its latest smartphone, the Mate 70, as announced on its official WeChat account on Monday.

Huawei Opens Pre-Orders for Highly Anticipated Mate 70 Smartphone

In a separate statement, Huawei revealed plans to host a Mate brand event on November 26, where the company is expected to showcase its latest smartphone lineup, generating significant buzz among tech enthusiasts.

Pre-Orders Open, Prices Unavailable

Huawei’s online store is now allowing customers to reserve the Mate 70 along with two pro versions. Interestingly, the pre-order process does not require a deposit. However, the company has not disclosed pricing details for the new models, leaving fans eagerly speculating.

A Resilient Comeback in the Premium Smartphone Market

The Mate 70 series follows the success of the Mate 60, which marked Huawei’s triumphant return to the 5G premium smartphone market last year. The Mate 60 garnered widespread acclaim in China as a testament to the company’s resilience, featuring domestically-produced semiconductors in the face of ongoing U.S. sanctions.

Since 2019, Huawei has faced significant restrictions preventing access to advanced U.S. chips and technology. Despite these challenges, the company continues to innovate, with its Mate series symbolizing China’s technological self-reliance and determination.

The Mate 70 is poised to capture attention both as a high-performance device and as a symbol of Huawei’s ability to thrive under pressure.

What to Expect on November 26

With its upcoming Mate event, Huawei is expected to unveil more details about the Mate 70 series and potentially introduce new features or advancements. This announcement has sparked excitement within the tech community, as Huawei continues to carve its path in the global smartphone industry.
